Experience the tranquility brought about by the soothing repetitive motion of machine appliqué! If you would like to learn the process or expand your knowledge, this is the class for you! The adorable Sunflower Morning Table Runner will be the focus of our adventure. During the first class, you will learn the basics of machine appliqué (tracing, cutting and fusing), we will practice the blanket stitch, and begin the process of tracing and fusing the pattern pieces to the appropriate fabrics. The second class will be spent fusing the cut-out appliqué pieces to the background and the machine appliqué. If there is time, we will make and attach the borders.
In preparation for the first class, please do the following:
- Insert a new needle
- Clean and oil your machine
- Be sure you know your machine and how to access the blanket stitch
